【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardappliestohand-heldinstrumentsusedforthedetectionandlocalizationofneutronemittingradioactivematerial.Theseinstrumentsarehighlysensitivemeaningthattheyaredesignedtodetectslightvariationsintherangeofusualbackgroundthatmaybecausedbyillicittraffickingorinadvertentmovementofradioactivematerial.Thishighsensitivityallowsscanningoflargervolumeitemssuchasvehiclesandcontainers.Theseinstrumentsmayalsobeusedinfixedortemporallyfixedunattendedmodetomonitorcheckpointsorcriticalareas.Instrumentsaddressedbythisstandardwillalsoprovideameanstodetectphotonradiationforpersonalprotection.ThisstandarddoesnotapplytotheperformanceofradiationprotectioninstrumentationwhichiscoveredinIEC61005andinIEC61526.Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishperformancerequirements,provideexamplesofacceptabletestmethods,andtospecifygeneralcharacteristics,generaltestconditions,radiationcharacteristics,electricalsafety,andenvironmentalcharacteristics,thatareusedtodetermineifaninstrumentmeetstherequirementsofthisstandard.Theresultsoftestsperformedprovideinformationtogovernmentagenciesandotherusersonthecapabilityofradiationdetectioninstrumentsforreliablydetectingneutronsources.Obtainingoperatingperformancethatmeetsorexceedsthespecificationsasstatedinthisstandarddependsuponproperlyestablishingappropriateoperatingparameters,maintainingcalibration,implementingasuitableresponsetestingandmaintenanceprogram,auditingcompliancewithqualityrequirements,andprovidingpropertrainingforoperatingpersonnel.
