【摘要】:Thistestmethodwillidentifywastematerialsthatarepotentiallyunstablewhentheycomeincontactwithothermaterialsatawastetreatmentordisposalsite.Thistestmethodwillservetodeterminethemiscibilityofwastematerialswithvariousmedia,includingotherwastes.Thistestmethodmaynotbeapplicabletoallwastes.Theappropriatenessofthesetestsdependsupontheproposedmanagementofthewaste.Sincetheinitiationofsomechemicalreactionsareslowtotakeplace,theusermaywishtoestablishreagent-to-wastecontacttimespriortoobservingthemixesforanyreactions.1.1Thistestmethodisdesignedtodeterminewhetherawastematerialreactswhenitismixedwithair,water,strongacid,strongbase,anoil/solventmixture,otherwastemixtures,orsolidmediasuchasageologicalformationorsolidificationagents.1.2Themiscibilityofthewastematerialwiththeabovemediacanalsobedefined.Note18212;ThefollowingASTMstandardsprovidesupplementalinformation:TestMethodsD4978,D4979,D4980,D4981,D4982,D5049,D5057,andD5058.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
