【摘要】:1MainpurposeThepurposeofthisEuropeanStandardistoestablishthecharacteristicsandtheconformancerulesrequiredtosyntheticallydescribetheorganisationandcontentofaterminologicalsysteminhealth.ThisEuropeanStandardhasbeendevelopedtoallowtheproductionofspecificstandardsoncategorialstructuresforparticularhealthcaresubjectfieldswiththeminimumrequirementstosupportmeaningfulexchangeofinformation.ThisEuropeanStandardisapplicableto:-facilitatetheconstructionofnewterminologicalsystemsinaregularformwhichwillincreasetheircoherenceandexpressiveness;-facilitatemaintenanceofterminologicalsystems;-increaseconsistencyandcoherenceofexistingterminologicalsystems;-allowsystematiccross-referencesbetweenitemsofdifferenttypesofterminologicalsystems;-facilitateconvergenceamongterminologicalsystems;-makeexplicittheoverlapbetweendifferenthealthcaredomainsterminologicalsystems;-provideelementsfornegotiationaboutintegrationofdifferentterminologicalsystemsintoinformationsystemsbetweentherespectivedevelopers;-enablethesystematicevaluationofterminologicalsystems.2TargetgroupsThetargetgroupsforthisEuropeanStandardare:-designersofspecialisedstandardhealthcareterminologicalcategorialstructures;-developersofhealthcareterminologicalsystemsincludingclassificationsandcodingsystems;-producersofservicesforterminologicalsystemsanddesignersofsoftwareincludingapplicationsfornaturallanguageprocessing;-informationmodellers,knowledgeengineers,andstandardsdevelopersbuildingmodelsforhealthinformationmanagementsystems;-developersofinformationsystemsthatrequireanexplicitsystemofconcepts;-developersofmark-upstandardsforrepresentationofhealthcaredocuments.3TopicsoutsidethescopeThisEuropeanStandardhasbeendevelopedforuseasanintegratedpartofcomputer-basedapplicationsandfortheelectronichealthcarerecord.Itwouldbeoflimitedvalueformanualuse.ThisEuropeanStandarditselfisnotsuitablefororintendedforusebyindividualcliniciansorhospitaladministrators.ItisnotthepurposeofthisEuropeanStandardtostandardisetheenduserclassificationortoconflictwiththeconceptsystemsembeddedinnationalpracticeandlanguages.ThisEuropeanStandardisapplicabletoanyhealthcareterminologyinanyhealthcareterminologicalsystem.
