【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheapparentviscosityofhydrocarbonresinsatelevatedtemperatures.Elevatedtemperatureviscosityvaluesofahydrocarbonresinmayberelatedtothepropertiesofcoatings,adhesivesandthelike,containingsucharesin.Forhydrocarbonresins,valuesofapparentviscositywillusuallybeafunctionofshearrateundertheconditionsoftest.Althoughthetypeofviscometerdescribedinthistestmethodoperatesunderconditionsofrelativelylowshearrate,shearratedependsonthespindleandrotationalspeedselectedforadetermination;therefore,comparisonsbetweenapparentviscosityvaluesshouldbemadeonlyformeasurementsmadewithsimilarviscometersunderconditionsofequivalentshearrate.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheapparentviscosityofhydrocarbonresinshavingapparentviscositiesupto2,000,000millipascalseconds(mPax00B7;s)(Note1)attemperaturesupto300x00B0;C(572x00B0;F).Note18212;TheSIunitof(dynamic)viscosityisthepascalsecond.Thecentipoise(cP)isonemillipascalsecond(mPax00B7;s)andisfrequentlyusedasaviscosityunit.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
