【摘要】:Theabsorptioncoefficientofpolyolefinpolymerpigmentedwithcarbonblackisusefultojudgethedegreeanduniformityofdispersionofthepigment,andtheadequacyofthequantitativelevelofpigmentaddition.Thesefactorsareusedtopredicttheperformanceofthepolymermaterialinresponsetoprolongedexposuretoultravioletlightasevidencedbyminimalchangesinspecificproperties.Note18212;ThistestmethodwasdevelopedtoevaluateethylenepolymermaterialspigmentedwithsmallparticlesizecarbonblackssuitableforUVprotection.Itisnotknownhowaccurateandreproduciblethetestwouldbewithlargerparticlesizeblacks.1.1Thistestmethodmeasurestheamountoflighttransmittedthroughafilmofcarbonblackpigmentedethylenepolymer.1.2Aftercalculationoftheamountoflightandfilmthickness,anabsorptioncoefficientiscalculated.1.3Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarethestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
